The Opportunity:

Nutanix is hiring a QA Automation Engineer for its SysQA team, which focuses on ensuring high-quality enterprise-ready solutions for hybrid multicloud environments. With Nutanix’s market-leading HCI (Hyperconverged Infrastructure) as the foundation, the team builds solutions like the Life Cycle Manager (LCM) that simplifies IT infrastructure operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for test planning, automation, functional and performance testing, and improving scalability. You will collaborate closely with developers, influence product design, and ensure that a quality-first mindset drives development practices.

About the Team:

You’ll be part of a dynamic team of 15 professionals across the US and India. The SysQA team thrives on collaboration, inclusion, and a “one spirit” culture. The team follows a hybrid work setup (2–3 days per week in office), with no travel requirements, allowing you to balance flexibility with team interaction.

Your Role:

• Plan and execute comprehensive tests for the LCM product (functional, regression, performance).
• Develop and execute manual and automated tests to detect and prevent regressions.
• Collaborate with developers to analyze failures, file bugs, and track them to closure.
• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.
• Contribute to scaling test coverage for distributed and large-scale systems.

Requirements:

• BE or MS in Computer Science (or related field).
• 3–6 years of QA/Test Automation experience (Python strongly preferred).
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, OS fundamentals, and filesystems.
• Hands-on experience testing system-level products (storage, hypervisors, operating systems, or databases).
• Ability to develop and maintain test automation frameworks.

Preferred:

• Experience with Docker Containers/Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud ecosystems.
• Experience in system testing of large-scale deployments.
